Happy Birthday Cloud~

1stclasspuppyZack was never one who was good at remembering dates but there were a few things he would remember, Christmas was one of them, his birthday was another and his parents too and the most recent and important in his book was Cloud's birthday. Granted he had forgotten the exact date until about a week ago but that was more than enough time for him to start his plans. He was going to make this the best surprise birthday ever!
Of course his pokemon weren't much help but they were good at distracting Cloud during the week of preparations. Doggo would ask to go outside for walks more than usual while Brodoof would feign being hurt or sick so that Cloud would be the one giving Doggo a walk. While he'd be out Zack and brodoof would work on party decorations with Grim supervising and playing lookout.
When the day of Cloud's birthday arrived, Zack had made sure he was up early and started to decorate their shared apartment. There were streamers all over the place in varying colors of the rainbow and in the living room were a bunch of balloons and a sign that read happy birthday Cloud.
Being up early, Zack had made a simple breakfast of bacon and eggs and even had some coffee waiting for them. He made sure to be as quiet as he could to not wake cloud. When all was set up and ready he went to the bedroom to see the still sleeping birthday boy and climbed into the bed, holding him tight and kissing his cheek.
"Hey Spike, it's time to wake up. You got a big day today."
